Senior Environmental & Air Permitting Manager (Leadership Role)
Marietta, GA (Preferred) | ~20% Travel | Day Shift (8 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: Up to $160,000 (flexible for exceptional candidates)
- Bonus: 4–8% target

The Opportunity
Step into a high-impact leadership role where you’ll bridge the gap between clients and engineering teams, ensuring organizations across the U.S. stay compliant with environmental regulations—especially under the Clean Air Act.
You’ll lead a team of talented environmental engineers, shape compliance strategy, and directly influence major industrial clients. This is more than a technical role—it’s a strategic, client-facing leadership position with real influence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 environmental engineers per project
- Oversee air permitting compliance (Title V, PSD, NESHAP, emissions inventories, etc.)
- Guide projects involving air, water, and waste regulations
- Serve as the key liaison between clients and internal engineering teams
- Interpret environmental data and drive strategic compliance decisions
- Manage multiple client accounts, proposals, and project deliverables
- Ensure timely, high-quality submissions: permit applications, SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II, TRI, RMP, and more
- Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders
- Champion team growth, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Help drive operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (required)
- 10+ years in environmental compliance consulting
- (Open to 6+ years with strong leadership experience)
- 2+ years of leadership experience preferred
- Deep expertise in air permitting under the Clean Air Act
- Proven experience working with multiple clients in a consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- Emissions calculations (AP-42, mass balance, engineering judgment)
- Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, PSD regulations
- Ability to own projects end-to-end and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and client-facing skills
- Professional certification (PE, CHMM, or similar) required or strongly preferred
