About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations in a high-volume automotive Tier 1 manufacturing environment. This role oversees preventative and reactive maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime, safety, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep mechanical stamping press experience and strong troubleshooting capabilities across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations in a high-volume automotive Tier 1 manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Lead daily maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure reliable operation of mechanical stamping presses
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities with production leadership to minimize downtime
  • Enforce safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant policies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance processes
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation
  • Assist with training and development of maintenance personnel
  • Support installation, startup, and optimization of new or existing equipment

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical stamping presses (non-negotiable)

Required Skills

Strong troubleshooting skills in:

  • Electrical systems
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on maintenance role
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

  • Robotic systems experience (Fanuc, ABB, or similar)
  • Automotive Tier 1 manufacturing experience
  • Experience supporting high-speed, high-volume production environments
