Job Title: CNC Professional (Operator / Machinist / Supervisor)
Experience Level: 2+ Years
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Professional with at least 2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. This role is flexible and may be filled at the Operator, Machinist, or Supervisor level depending on candidate experience and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machinery, precision measurement, and quality standards, along with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and routine machine maintenance
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Additional Responsibilities (Machinist Level):
- Edit and optimize CNC programs (G-code) for efficiency and accuracy
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
- Collaborate with engineering or programming teams to improve processes
Additional Responsibilities (Supervisor Level):
- Lead and support a team of CNC operators and machinists
- Coordinate production schedules and workflow
- Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure team adherence to company policies and production goals
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, etc.)
- Leadership experience preferred for Supervisor-level candidates
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/shop floor setting
- Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
