Accounts Payable Specialist

Aegis is partnered with a long-standing manufacturer of highly customized industrial scissor lifts and dock lifts that is experiencing significant growth and operational expansion. This organization operates a 125,000 sq. ft. facility and is already planning an additional 30,000 sq. ft. expansion to support increased customer demand. Ownership continues to reinvest heavily into the business through new equipment, facility upgrades, solar infrastructure, and a company-wide ERP transition to Epicor.
They are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a collaborative accounting team and support full-cycle AP activities within a busy discrete manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible role that works closely with the Controller, ownership, and cross-functional departments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable processing in a manufacturing environment
- Complete three-way matching between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
- Code invoices to the proper general ledger accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between vendors, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
- Process weekly vendor payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers
- Review vendor statements and respond to payment inquiries in a timely manner
- Set up new vendors in accordance with internal company policies
- Maintain accurate 1099 vendor files and assist with annual reporting
- Process monthly AP accruals including utilities and service invoices
- Support month-end close, year-end audit preparation, and special accounting projects
- Assist with the transition from Fourth Shift to Epicor ERP
Requirements:
- 2–5+ years of Accounts Payable experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong three-way matching and invoice discrepancy resolution experience
- Experience with vendor payments, 1099s, and AP accruals
- ERP experience required (Epicor, Fourth Shift, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close activities
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Positive, easy-going personality with the ability to work closely within a small accounting team
