Position: HR Manager

Location: Flint, MI (supporting multiple sites including Bay City & Alpena)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | Standard Business Hours (travel between sites required)

Compensation: $100K – $115K base + 20% bonus (flexible for top candidates)

A globally backed, industry-leading beverage manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking an HR Manager due to an internal promotion. This is a high-impact, multi-site leadership role supporting a large, unionized workforce in a stable, recession-resistant industry.

Position Overview

This role oversees HR operations across three distribution sites, acting as the top HR leader on-site. The position focuses heavily on labor relations, employee relations, and strategic business partnership.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading all HR functions across multiple locations

• Managing union relations, including grievances and contract negotiations

• Partnering with site leadership on workforce planning and organizational strategy

• Handling complex employee relations issues and conflict resolution

• Driving talent development, performance management, and engagement initiatives

• Supporting compliance, audits, and HR reporting/metrics

• Coaching and developing an HR Generalist

Ideal Background

• 5–15 years of HR experience, with 2+ years in leadership

• Strong union experience (grievances, negotiations required)

• Background in manufacturing, distribution, food/beverage, or similar environments

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Strategic mindset with strong communication and conflict resolution skills

• Comfortable supporting multiple sites and traveling locally
