Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions for a multi-site operation, partnering closely with local leadership to support business objectives through effective HR strategies, employee relations, talent development, and compliance initiatives. This role requires a hands-on HR leader with strong labor relations experience and the ability to support multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all Human Resources activities and partner with local leadership to ensure effective HR processes and procedures
- Evaluate current and potential HR issues and develop strategic solutions aligned with workforce planning needs
- Serve as a neutral party to mediate employee relations issues and balance conflicting viewpoints
- Lead talent management initiatives, employee development programs, performance reviews, and annual compensation processes
- Communicate benefit changes and manage Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) in collaboration with Compliance and Talent Acquisition teams
- Support OFCCP audits by providing required HR data and documentation
- Measure HR performance using HR scorecards and metrics to identify successes and areas for improvement
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on staffing strategies, hiring events, and workforce planning
- Travel weekly between Flint and Bay City locations
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of HR experience and 3+ years of management experience
- OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of HR experience and 4+ years of management experience
- Union and labor relations experience strongly preferred
- Strong employee relations, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience supporting compliance programs and HR reporting

- Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
