Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and control systems
- Support and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (basic troubleshooting required)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation (CMMS preferred)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance
Qualifications (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic understanding of PLCs (troubleshooting, not programming)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or shifts as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
- Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors, and automation systems
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience with CMMS systems
- Background in high-speed manufacturing or automated environments
