Production Supervisor
Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and leading production team members to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage workflow, support employees on the floor, and drive continuous improvement within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and efficiency goals
- Lead, train, and develop production employees while maintaining a safe and productive work environment
- Monitor production performance and address issues that impact output, quality, or efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production challenges
- Manage staffing levels and workflow to ensure production schedules are met
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate production reports, documentation, and shift communications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in high-volume production or industrial manufacturing settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices preferred
- Familiarity with production reporting systems and manufacturing processes
