We are partnered with a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing operation that's seeking a Health Physicist to support a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. This individual will play a key role in maintaining and advancing radiation safety and environmental health & safety (EHS) programs across the site. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative position that partners closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safe working environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and help manage site-wide radiation safety and EHS programs
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance on safety-related matters
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective action initiatives
  • Assist with permitting, licensing, and regulatory submissions as needed
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning activities
  • Develop and deliver training related to safety programs and best practices
  • Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and drive improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Health Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific field highly preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience in radiation safety, health physics, or a related EHS function
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., NRC, EPA, DOT, or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or highly regulated environments preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Certified Health Physicist (CHP) or working toward certification
  • Experience with dose assessment, modeling, or shielding software tools
