We are partnered with a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing operation that's seeking a Health Physicist to support a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. This individual will play a key role in maintaining and advancing radiation safety and environmental health & safety (EHS) programs across the site. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative position that partners closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safe working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and help manage site-wide radiation safety and EHS programs
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance on safety-related matters
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs and procedures
- Prepare and maintain documentation to support regulatory requirements and internal standards
- Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective action initiatives
- Assist with permitting, licensing, and regulatory submissions as needed
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning activities
- Develop and deliver training related to safety programs and best practices
- Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and drive improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Health Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific field highly preferred
- 3+ years of professional experience in radiation safety, health physics, or a related EHS function
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., NRC, EPA, DOT, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting manufacturing or highly regulated environments preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Certified Health Physicist (CHP) or working toward certification
- Experience with dose assessment, modeling, or shielding software tools
