Compensation: $70,000 – $120,000 + Uncapped Commission
Schedule: Monday–Friday, fully onsite

Position Overview
A well-established industrial manufacturing company is seeking an Estimator / Inside Sales Engineer to support customer projects by preparing technical quotes and cost estimates for engineered equipment and systems.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales support, and project estimating. The engineer will work closely with internal teams to review customer purchase orders, technical drawings, and specifications in order to develop accurate proposals and pricing.
While this position collaborates with the sales team, the majority of the work is behind the scenes, focusing on technical evaluation, cost estimation, and quote preparation for customer projects.
This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy analyzing technical documents, building project cost estimates, and supporting industrial equipment sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and engineering drawings to determine project scope.
- Develop accurate project estimates and quotations based on customer requirements.
- Identify required equipment, components, and materials needed to fulfill project specifications.
- Utilize internal pricing tools and catalog resources to prepare cost estimates and sales proposals.
- Support the sales team by providing technical insight and pricing guidance for customer requests.
- Evaluate opportunities to provide additional products, spare parts, or catalog items that may benefit the customer.
- Work closely with engineering and sales leadership to ensure accurate pricing and project feasibility.
- Coordinate with internal teams and occasionally vendors to gather information needed for estimates.
- Maintain documentation related to quotes, proposals, and project details.
- Assist with continuous improvements to estimating processes and quoting accuracy.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field required
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, estimating, inside sales engineering, or applications engineering
- Experience working within industrial manufacturing or engineered product environments
- Familiarity with reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, or engineered systems
- Ability to interpret technical documents and translate them into cost estimates
- Experience supporting project-based quoting or proposals
- Familiarity with pricing catalogs or bill of materials is a plus
