Senior Manufacturing Accountant
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Salary: $65,000 – $90,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm
A stable and growing manufacturing organization in Elk Grove Village is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team. This is a hands-on role offering strong visibility into operations and the opportunity to own key accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute month-end close
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage inventory costing and variance analysis
- Oversee percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition
- Perform financial and operational variance analysis
- Manage sales tax compliance
- Support audit preparation
- Participate in ERP system implementation initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (3 years minimum with strong manufacturing exposure)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Direct involvement in month-end close
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Inventory costing and variance analysis experience
- POC revenue recognition exposure
- ERP system and general ledger experience
