Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations within our automotive production facility. This role focuses on optimizing processes, reducing scrap and downtime, supporting new product launches, and driving continuous improvement across production lines. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly on the shop floor and collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Support production lines with daily troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
  • Analyze process data (cycle time, scrap, OEE, downtime) and implement corrective actions
  • Support new product introductions, including process validation and PPAP documentation
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve customer and internal quality issues
  • Work with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and process capability
  • Support automation, tooling, and fixture improvements
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards and internal procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 2–5+ years of process engineering experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Ability to work directly on the shop floor in a fast-paced production environment
