We’re currently looking for an Immigration Paralegal.
Requirements:
- Spanish – C1, English – B2 
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal preparing and filing employment-based work and residence permit applications and visas for employees and family members, including specifically high-qualified worker permits and EU Blue Cards 
- Knowledge of requirements for document submission, including translation, legalization and apostille requirements for immigration filings 
- Experience assisting employees in obtaining required documents from within Spain and from other countries, and obtaining proper legalization of documents (civil documents, educational documents, work experience documents, tax/social security records, etc.) 
- Experience assisting applicants who have complex cases and situations, including obtaining documents and organizing applicants and family members residing in different countries, with different nationalities and varying degrees of education and experience 
- Experience handling a high volume of cases and maintaining communication with applicants for updates on the status of their cases 
- Experience communicating with local authorities on behalf of applicants to resolve issues, schedule appointments, and ask questions as needed 
- Experience attending appointments with applicants for foreigner ID cards with applicants 
- Excellent communication skills 
Strongly Preferred:
- Russian – C1 
- Experience working for a large immigration firm or in-house for a multinational company 
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related field 
- Experience assisting with matters outside of immigration, such as employment, litigation or corporate law matters would be a plus, but is not required 
Key Responsibilities:
- With direction of in-house attorney, manage end-to-end process of initiating and filing work permit applications and renewals for RingCentral employees and dependent residence permits for their family members 
- Assist employees and family members with scheduling visa appointments with Spanish consulates and liaise with Spanish consulates as needed to ensure efficient processing of Visa D applications 
- Assist applicants with collecting documents needed for immigration filings, including providing instruction and assisting with obtaining documents from Spanish authorities and authorities in other countries 
- Provide instruction and direction to applicants on the content and form of documents required, including any required legalizations, apostille, etc. 
- Arrange for certified translation of documents required for immigration filings 
- Ensure timely collection and validation of documentation submitted by employees by following up with employees regularly and reviewing documents provided in a timely manner 
- Draft and prepare work and residence permit filings for attorney review and submit applications for employees and family members 
- Provide timely updates to keep employees informed of the status of their filings and provide clear instructions on next steps involved in immigration processes
