This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for a General Ledger Accounting Manager
The General Ledger Manager will report directly to the US Global Accounting Director and will be responsible for several areas within the General Ledger function, the month end process and management reporting package. This person will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptive to changes. This person will have a “can-do” attitude and be able to roll up the sleeves to do hands-on work. This person will assist our finance function develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and Review Ledger Entries. Preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations such as marketing accruals & sales commission accruals, etc.
Prepare financial statements. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory as applicable. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close
Collaboration. Work with international accounting team and support the accounting close process for international subsidiaries
Reports and Analysis. Assist in the preparation of fluctuation analyses and perform financial statement analytics, providing relevant explanations for fluctuations
Project and Process Improvement. Participation in projects relating to process improvement both from a business standpoint and system related
Audits and Reviews. Support external audits and reviews by providing period over period fluctuation analysis, supporting schedules, accounting reconciliations, pulling selections and interfacing with external auditors as required
Compliance. Assist in implementation and documentation of internal control, process and related procedures. Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
People Management. Manage and develop staff of two individuals
Perform other duties as assigned
To succeed in this role you must have the following:
10+ years of experience in the General Ledger function
Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred
Minimum 5 years in a management position at a publicly traded high-tech company
Desired Qualifications:
Preferred experience on Netsuite or ERP. Proficient or experience using NetSuite and large ERP is a plus
Organization and Project Management skills - Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong time management skills and able to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong ability to give attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at the same time
Communication skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, with a high customer service focus.
Collaboration skills- A Great interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staff
Analytical and Reporting skills - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Willing to work on night shift
Willing to work on hybrid setup (10-11 days in office per month, Cubao or Ortigas)
