The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the Global forecasting and Demand planning of products for RingCentral which includes leading the planning activities, analysis and processing of data, collaboration with partners,
Responsibilities:
Global Forecasting and Demand Planning. Responsible for the Global forecasting and Demand planning of products for RingCentral. iUtilize advanced forecasting techniques and sales opportunity pipeline to create and adjust demand plans. Gather monthly forecast data from partners and incorporate suitably into regional demand plans. Regularly review and update forecasts to reflect new data, trends, and business changes.
Leads Planning Activities. This role is highly collaborative and leads planning activities including aggregation of demand, supply alignment, analytics, and drives maturity of planning systems to the ultimate delight of our customers.
Analysis of Historical Data, Market Trends, and Customer Insights: This role involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to create reliable demand plans that drive inventory and production decisions, supporting efficient operations and high customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
Receive, Analyze, and Process Monthly Data. Receive and process accurate monthly shipment data from distributors and stocking locations to ensure reliable input for forecasting. Analyze consumption data by product, channel, and region; adjust supply plans; and align distributor inventory as required.
Collaborate with Partners. Track large deals and work closely with Sales Ops, Deal Desk, and Sales teams. Support regional sales, marketing, and product teams with associated product availability, product launches, product transition plans, and customer engagements. Work closely with demand planning, sales, and marketing to align supply plans with business objectives and promotional activities. Partner with supply planning and supply chain managers to ensure that demand forecasts are effectively translated into inventory requirements.
Improve and Communicate Forecasts. Responsible for improving forecast accuracy and highlighting key demand drivers for adequate supply planning. Communicate forecast adjustments to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.
Manage Inventory. Set optimal inventory levels by considering lead times, service levels, and forecast accuracy. Monitor demand variability to reduce stockouts and excess inventory, contributing to better inventory turns and reduced holding costs. Manage safety stock levels and establish contingency plans for demand surges or shortages.
Gap Analysis and Process Improvement. Conduct detailed analysis on demand trends, sales patterns, and forecast accuracy to drive improvements. Generate and present reports on forecast accuracy, demand variability, and inventory metrics to management. Identify gaps or improvement opportunities in the demand planning process and propose actionable solutions. Lead initiatives to improve demand planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Develop the company’s S&OP processes for continued improvement in performance and cross-functional engagement
Decision Making. Drive demand planning best practices across the organization and champion data-driven decision-making.
To succeed in this role you must have the following:
5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory management, and forecasting techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or equivalent education and experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Process Improvement. Experience in process improvement initiatives, including driving supply chain systems to maturity
Tools Expertise. Experience in CRM tools such as Salesforce and Supply Chain Planning tools.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities in demand forecasting.
Communication and Collaboration: Team player. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in demand forecasts and thoroughness in data analysis.
Adaptability: Agile and responsive to changing market conditions, demand variability, and new business needs.
Passionate and high energy. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Shift. Willing to work on night shift
Work set-up. Willing to work on hybrid setup (10-11 days in office per month, Cubao or Ortigas)
