ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Pharmacy Manager of PBM Navigation is a critical leader of the Rightway PBM Clinical Operations team. This role leads a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians focused on navigating and supporting members in all aspects of their pharmacy experience with Rightway, including driving towards cost effective channels (pharmacies) or medications.

Our pharmacy benefit management (PBM) offering represents an important growth area for Rightway. Helping clients better manage pharmacy spend to make drugs more affordable for their employees and dependents is critical to their business sustainability. RightwayRx is responsible for designing, building and operating a new-to-the-world PBM model based on our core tenets: fairness & transparency, unlocking the supply chain, supporting the physician-patient relationship, and utilizing navigation to empower consumers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide supervision, training, monitoring, and mentoring to team pharmacists and technicians
  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for open team positions
  • Continual review of team operational processes to ensure effective and compliant delivery of PBM services to our clients and members
  • Oversee and drive member facing initiatives with the goal of lowering client drug spend and reducing member out of pocket expenses
  • Ensure the delivery of concierge level of service to all members but especially those identified by clients that may require extra assistance
  • Lead team training sessions that are geared towards driving high quality interactions with members that deliver high net promoter scores (NPS)

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Education level: Pharmacy Degree Required, PharmD preferred.
  • Work experience: 5+ years of managed care (PBM or health plan) experience in utilization management or other related clinical field. 1-3+ years leading teams of pharmacists and technicians
  • Pharmacist license in good standing in state of residence. Willingness to achieve and maintain licensure in multiple states (if needed)
  • Available to work 40 hours/week. Core operating hours are weekdays from 8 am Eastern Time to 11 pm Eastern Time, but may be required to work evening and/or weekend shifts as well as contribute to on call staff in the future as Rightway grows.
  • Important characteristics of ideal candidate: Detail-oriented, intellectually and clinically curious, good listener, empathetic, ability to challenge status quo, values exemplar
  • Specific skills needed for job: Pharmacy benefit knowledge, effective & creative problem-solver, ability to prioritize and manage through change. Solid communication skills, ability to lead projects and influence others even without direct reporting line ownership

EXTRA CREDIT:

  • Start-up experience
  • Familiarity with assisting in the development of internal and member facing technologies (care management platforms, workflow management, mobile app, etc.)

BASE SALARY: $130,000-140,000
