About the role:

Rightway is a care navigation and pharmacy benefits platform changing the way healthcare is delivered for over one million members. By integrating clinicians and pharmacists into the care journey, we lower costs, improve outcomes and adherence, and transform the patient experience. Our personalized approach and leading technology reduce medical and pharmacy costs by 15%. As we rapidly expand upmarket, we’re seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our product marketing efforts.

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will own our positioning and go-to-market strategy, crafting and refining our value proposition as we launch new products and enter new markets. You will join a dynamic marketing team, contributing significantly to our product direction and our revenue goals. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will collaborate extensively with leaders from Rightway’s Product, Growth Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Clinical teams. This is a great opportunity to develop Rightway’s product marketing function and create long-lasting impact across the organization during a pivotal growth phase.

What you will do:

  • Build a world-class product marketing function, developing and refining Rightway’s positioning and narrative, bringing Rightway’s value proposition to life and ensuring that our story remains consistent across the organization.
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new and existing products and features, translating technical details into benefits, and orchestrating cross-functional execution to meet business objectives.
  • Partner with the Growth Marketing team to continuously test and optimize messaging to drive effective campaign results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, sales, and clinical divisions to develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas, ensuring alignment with customer needs and consistent delivery of our value proposition.
  • Deeply understand Rightway’s target audiences, understanding their needs, available competitive solutions, and effective communication of our unique value propositions.
  • Create and oversee the production of engaging and informative content and collateral such as case studies, decks, one pagers, and demos to enhance awareness and adoption of our solutions. Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all content platforms.
  • Equip the sales team with essential tools, training, and materials, ensuring they can effectively communicate Rightway’s product value propositions and enhance sales efforts.
  • Lead efforts in market research and consumer insights, utilizing customer feedback, A/B testing, and market analysis to refine product positioning and messaging. Stay on top of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Oversee the collection and distribution of competitive intelligence, developing insights that inform strategic decisions to ensure our positioning remains advantageous.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a healthcare startup, with a focus on product marketing.
  • You’ve demonstrated success in developing go-to-market strategies and product positioning for complex healthcare products.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills, adept at influencing and collaborating across teams, including with product and sales teams.
  • You’ve overseen buyer research and insights, managing messaging and positioning, and leading GTM plans. You’ve executed successful product launches, and produced top-quality sales enablement materials.
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical skills and experience in scaling teams and processes in high-growth environments.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and agility, capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You can deliver on today’s objectives without a large team while scaling and building for the future.
  • You can handle both strategic tasks and execution details. (I.e., no task is too big or too small - you’re willing to roll up your sleeves when needed to assist on a strategic finalist pitch.)
  • You can do more with less today, as you focus on scaling for tomorrow’s future. You focus on long-term scalability. You can do things without a large team.
  • You’re process oriented. You’ve scaled teams and processes in a high-growth environment; you’re excited to do it at Rightway.
  • Collaborative team player who can extract insights and ideas from others, shape opinions, who knows when to lead and when to influence.

HOW WE LIVE OUR VALUES TO OUR TEAMMATES:

We’re seeking those with passion for healthcare and relentless devotion to our goal. We need team members that embody our following core values:

1) We are human, first
Our humanity binds us together. We bring the same empathetic approach to every individual we engage with, whether it be our members, our clients, or each other. We are all worthy of respect and understanding and we engage in our interactions with care and intention. We honor our stories. We listen to—and hear—each other, we celebrate our differences and similarities, we are present for each other, and we strive for mutual understanding.

2) We redefine what is possible
We always look beyond the obstacles in front of us to imagine new solutions. We approach our work with inspiration from other industries, other leaders, and other challenges. We use ingenuity and resourcefulness when faced with tough problems.

3) We debate then commit
We believe that a spirit of open discourse is part of a healthy culture. We understand and appreciate different perspectives and we challenge our assumptions. When working toward a decision or a new solution, we actively listen to one another, approach it with a “yes, and” mentality, and assume positive intent. Once a decision is made, we align and champion it as one team.

4) We cultivate grit
Changing healthcare doesn’t happen overnight. We reflect and learn from challenges and approach the future with a determination to strive for better. In the face of daunting situations, we value persistence. We embrace failure as a stepping stone to future success. On this journey, we seek to act with guts, resilience, initiative, and tenacity.

5) We seek to delight
Healthcare is complicated and personal. We work tirelessly to meet the goals of our clients while also delivering the best experience to our members. We recognize that no matter the role or team, we each play a crucial part in our members’ care and take that responsibility seriously. When faced with an obstacle, we are kind, respectful, and solution-oriented in our approach. We hold ourselves accountable to our clients and our members’ success.

Rightway is a healthcare company looking to improve healthcare outcomes for everyone, everywhere. With that in mind, we have to consider what is good for the health of our team, the company, and the communities we operate in. As such, Rightway has determined a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees, in combination with other safety precautions, is the best way forward.

Rightway is PROUDLY an Equal Opportunity Employer that believes in strength in the diversity of thought processes, beliefs, background and education and fosters an inclusive culture where differences are celebrated to drive the best business decisions possible. We do not discriminate on any basis covered by appropriate law. All employment is decided on the consideration of merit, qualifications, need and performance.
