Position: Qbit Architect

Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina

Employment Type: Full Time

Reporting to: CEO/CTO/COO

Job Summary: We are seeking a Qbit Architect to join our growing team. Collaborate on the development of quantum bits and gates, emphasizing the completion of multi-qubit gates and enhancing overall gate functionality. Developing interface electronics for conventional computer-quantum bit array communication, and designing/implementing software for seamless integration with the quantum system via FPGA-based interfaces. Taking a leadership role in the integration process, interface electronics, and basic quantum algorithms, you will work towards creating a fully functional quantum processor.

  • PhD/ScD in Physics, Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or previous relevant development experience.

  • Solid understanding of solid state quantum bits and quantum gates, including hands-on experience in gate development and optimization.

  • Experience with hardware-software integration, particularly with interface electronics and FPGA-based systems.

  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in quantum computing, such as Python, C/C++, or Qiskit.

  • Familiarity with FPGA programming, firmware development, and software implementation for quantum systems would be beneficial.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary distributed team environment.
