Shift 7: Thursday-Saturday and Every Other Wednesday from 630am-630pm

Description:
Quantumscape is actively recruiting a driven Production Technician 1 to join our dynamic Manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our cell assembly team, focusing on the production of battery cells destined for our valued customers. As Production Technician 1, you will actively participate in every stage of the assembly process. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing components for full cell assembly, with many opportunities for training and progression to more advanced technician levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Assemble materials received from various departments to create the final product, ensuring accuracy and precision in the assembly process.

  • Work closely with team members and leadership to coordinate the seamless integration of components and contribute to the overall success of the production process.

  • Actively engage in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, with the goal of advancing to more complex assembly tasks and higher technician levels.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changing priorities and contributing to the team's success in meeting production goals.

  • Requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.

  • Must be open to identifying areas for improvement and offering constructive feedback to the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma and 1+ years' experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to perform work in a cleanroom, dry room or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching, and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 15 lbs

  • Must have highly developed written and verbal cross-functional communication skills

  • Committed to a team who will deliver high quality results and share our real passion for our mission.

  • Self-motivated and prosper in a fast paced, technically stimulating environment and quickly adapt to changes and achieve results.

  • Experience working in development programs preferred

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven history working within a production team.

  • Certain technical knowledge which would help accelerate the position/contributions

  • Industry experience in lithium-ion batteries preferred.

This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.

Compensation & Benefits: An hourly rate for this position is between $20.07 and $26.75, and a final hourly rate will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
