QuantumScape developed the industry’s first anode-less cell design, which delivers high energy density while lowering material costs and simplifying manufacturing. Our innovative battery cell technology can store energy more efficiently and reliably than today’s lithium-ion batteries.

Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with a team of technicians, engineers and scientist to scale-up manufacturing processes. Trained to work on automation equipment and with high temperature processing equipment. You love a fast-paced, team partnership, and learning new skills. The work will be in cleanroom environment, process, product and individual safety is of utmost importance. Working in shifts to operate 24/7 manufacturing.

A few notes on these openings:

* These openings will be hired as a Contractor/Temporary positions, and these are projected to be long term assignments.

* This position will need to train during a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm day shift schedule for about 4-6 weeks. At that time, the employee can transition into one of the following night shifts:

3 Openings-> Shift 4: Sunday- Tuesday and Every Other Saturday from 630pm-630am

3 Openings-> Shift 6: Wednesday - Friday and Every Other Saturday from 630pm-630am

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and one year or more of hands-on experience in a laboratory R&D or Manufacturing environment.

Ability to perform work in a cleanroom, dry room or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Self-motivated and prosper in a fast paced, technically stimulating environment and quickly adapt to changes and achieve results.

This role is require to work onsite at our campus in San Jose

Preferred:

2 plus years’ experience in the battery, solar, disk drive, or coatings industry.

You have a consistent record in a manufacturing or development engineering role for 3+ years where you played a meaningful role in high-temperature manufacturing and commissioning of startup processes.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly rate range for this role is $22-36/hr and will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background.
