Description:

You will join our all-solid-state battery team to develop and deliver new approaches to deposition and lamination

Responsibilities:

  • Handle air sensitive materials in glovebox / dry room / fume hood with proper PPE.

  • Operate deposition, laminating, and press equipment with full attention to standard operating procedure (SOP) details, including setup, cleanup, and troubleshooting.

  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to continuously improve the process.

  • Prepare, weigh, package, document samples for materials experiments.

  • Accurately and timely document experiment details and pass downs.

  • Shift preference (negotiable): Monday - Friday 9 AM -5 PM or 1 PM - 9 PM

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with 3+ years of experience in a R&D laboratory or manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to perform work in glovebox and dry rooms that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Attention to details - follow procedures to efficiently run equipment and handle chemicals safely.

  • Adapt to constantly evolving processes and enjoy learning new techniques.

  • Clear written and verbal skills to logically communicate observations and thought processes.

  • Willing to work overtime on short notice.

  • Basic computer skills to accurately record and analyze experiment results

Preferred: Qualifications

  • Experience of working in glove box and/or dry room.

  • Experience of working in a machine shop with mechanically inclined and clean working attitude

  • Familiar with Auto CAD software usage and analytical tools and techniques (microscopy, particle size analyzer, etc)

This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.

Compensation & Benefits: The hourly wage range for this role is between $21.54 and $32.88, and a final hourly wage will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan.
