QuantumScape is seeking a PDM and CAD Administrator for the Automation Equipment Design & Development team.
In this role:
You will be responsible for the PDM and CAD systems used by several teams at QuantumScape. We are looking for an individual to
Run the CAD and PDM software at QuantumScape
Oversee and enforce CAD and PDM company policies.
Provide user support including user setups/installation.
Light Mechanical design capabilities are a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience and Education:
This person needs to be able to connect with people of all levels since they could be working with anyone within the company.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or completion of technical trade school in CAD, engineering, drafting, computer engineering, computer science or related technical field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
3-5 years applicable work experience with engineering systems maintenance and user support
Autodesk Vault / Inventor experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: (or Responsibilities)
Responsible for maintenance and administration of QuantumScape PDM system, Autodesk Vault Professional
Work with our external PDM system partner to maintain, develop and optimize custom QuantumScape scripts that enable custom workflows for the engineering teams.
Support users (current and new) with troubleshooting. Perform root cause analysis debugging hardware and software issues and work to develop, test and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
Train users and develop training documentation (basic and advanced training on PDM, processes and standard methodologies).
Work with internal IT department and external PDM system partner to create easy deployment of Autodesk applications (Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD Electrical/Mechanical) including planning and implementation of upgrades and patches.
Manage creation of new user accounts with appropriate permissions and maintaining status and permissions of existing user accounts.
Maintain existing folder strategy implemented within PDM system. Ensure new file and folder creation occurs in the correct folders and the PDM environment is kept clean and uncluttered.
Develop relationships with external PDM system partner and our internal IT group.
Create CAD model and drawings based on current GD&T standards.
The mid-point salary for this role is $151,100 with flexibility based on candidate's experience level.
