Q Bio’s clinical digital twin platform, Gemini, is the first to capture and monitor comprehensive baseline patient health in a scalable virtual model. The Gemini Dashboard highlights the most important chemical and anatomical changes in an individual weighted by an individual’s lifestyle, genetic and medical history, that can be securely shared with physicians and specialists all over the world.
Gemini is powered by the fastest, most accessible, whole body scanner developed: the Mark I. Self-driving and optimized for primary care, the Mark I can complete a whole-body scan in 15 minutes or less in an open space, without radiation, breath holds, or claustrophobia. Patient comfort is maximized with the option to sit, stand, or lie down, and real-time telemetry is displayed throughout.

Join us as a graduate intern! Throughout the 12-week internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our new product development. Our internships offer an excellent opportunity to expand your career, and get hands on the next generation imaging hardware platform. We are seeking strategic, ambitious, passionate, hard-working, and creative individuals to be part of our team for the summer.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Support senior engineers in designing, prototyping, testing and troubleshooting mechanical or mechatronics parts and subsystems of the hardware platform
- Help prepare engineering documents and reports in support of new product development
- Assist with various daily activities in the hardware lab
Qualifications include:
- Working towards a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm for hands-on work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Interest in how user experience impacts mechanical design
- Proficiency using Solidworks for 3D CAD modeling and 2D technical drawings
- Ability to design, document, and execute engineering tests under supervision
- Experience working in a machine shop or lab environment with common tools and equipment
- Experience with fabrication of mock-ups and prototypes for testing/evaluation utilizing a variety of techniques including SLA, FDM, SLS, sheet metal, machining
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high quality prototypes
- Experience following cabling diagrams
