Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant will support the Finance team and full Harver organization by facilitating smooth day to day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with customers, vendors, and audits as well as sharing knowledge and documentation among teams. This role is a great opportunity to advance problem solving and analytical skills while providing ability to work with both internal and external teams across the globe.

In this role you get to:

  • Oversee monthly completion and research/analysis of all balance sheet reconciliations across multiple domestic and international entities while noting identified trends and suggestions for resolution of reconciling items.

  • Assist Financial Controller with cash management for all entities and financial institutions, including weekly bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.

  • Responsible for a variety of monthly close entries including accruals, amortizations, reclasses and intercompany with a focus on early communication of any out of budget items.

  • Support the Finance team with all audit, tax and other regulatory requests for US and international jurisdictions as required.

  • Develop and maintain well-documented instructions for journal entries, account reconciliations and other processes.

  • Drive in the development and implementation of efficient/scalable workflows, such as 3rd party integrations to ERP system.

  • Assist with customer invoicing and vendor payables functions, including expense analysis, collections, 3rd party portal management, and supplier forms.

  • Ownership and maintenance of the Finance Hub, a space for sharing essential information with internal teams.

We’re looking for people who have:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, index match, sumifs, etc.)
  • Candidates must be based in the US Eastern or Central time zones
