You have experience designing, implementing, and managing security tools and measures to safeguard data, systems, and networks. You are comfortable handling IT system issues, from authentication and access control to general troubleshooting. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing both security and IT operations while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, implement, and manage security tools and measures to protect data, systems, and networks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to suspicious activity and potential threats.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Respond to security and IT incidents, perform investigations, and recommend remediation measures.
  • Manage and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Administer and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to maintain compliance across employee devices.
  • Serve as the point of contact for IT system-related issues, including access control, authentication, and general troubleshooting.
  • Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and IT processes.
  • Maintain and manage G-Suite and other essential business applications.
  • Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the company's security posture.

What You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing security tools.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus software).
  • Proficiency in network and system administration.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage IT support across a remote working environment and diverse time zones.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining G-Suite and other business applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Extras you bring

  • Experience managing and securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security and IT tasks.
  • Experience supporting a remote-first environment across multiple time zones.
