Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director, Markets to join our Market Management Team. About the role: You will manage membership growth and financial performance within their market. You work across a cross functional team to manage performance and to assist in the development and execution of strategies for Oscar to meet short and long term goals. You'll develop and maintain relationships within the market with current and potential future network partners to deliver best in class member care and outcomes. You will report into the Vice President, Market Management. Work Location: This position is based in our New York office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $180,504 - $236,911 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage the financial performance for assigned markets</li> <li>Develop and maintain key relationships with providers, regulators, and community partners</li> <li>Identify and execute on growth opportunities</li> <li>Serve as the chief subject matter expert on your markets and be a key internal source of knowledge on relevant region and policy developments.</li> <li>Build, manage, and constantly improve upon workflows and systems</li> <li>Generate financial insights that will ensure Oscar's long-term sustainability, and work with internal departments and leaders to execute on these insights</li> <li>Lead a team of key talent, both within your direct and matrix reporting teams.</li> <li>Form strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders across the company to understand the impact of our partner relationships and contractual terms on their work streams and inform our strategies</li> <li>Contribute as a member of the leadership team, advocating for the needs of your markets and members.</li> <li>Build new provider relationships by leveraging and enhancing Oscar's value proposition to execute on the business plan for your market</li> <li>Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>10+ years of work experience in the healthcare industry</li> <li>8+ years of experience managing complex negotiations needed to build relationships and at the executive level</li> <li>8+ years of experience in healthcare contracting, operations and market economics</li> <li>8+ years of analytical experience with the ability to quickly break down and evaluate complex financial structures and operational workflows</li> </ul> Bonus points: <ul> <li>Masters of Business Administration, or other professional degree.</li> </ul> Travel required <ul> <li>Up to 50%</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">This is an authentic Oscar Health job opportunity.
