About the role:

This People Strategy Operations Manager is responsible for engaging as the People Strategy partner to Oscar's manager bench and serving as a centralized point in the team for day to day manager support and coaching, company wide-change management logistics, and department project representation.

You will report into the Senior Director, People Strategy.

Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $113,600 - $149,100 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact and thought partner for manager inquiries and workplace concerns to aid in de-escalation and coaching
  • Host regular 'manager office hours' for Sr. Manager and below to ensure people strategy support can be multiplied at junior leader levels
  • Develop and execute comms plans, change management plans, and run-of-show documentation for large or high visibility events (RIF, key leader departures, department transformation, onboarding)
  • Serve as the People Strategy representation in the People Department projects
  • Identify demands for forum/event needs and leader education that will prompt action including data pulls, artifact creation and/or partnership with the COEs for new content builds
  • Lead in the People Strategy data ownership responsibilities by maintaining and regularly updating the HRIS - organizational charts and standard data reviews for accuracy.
  • Handle documentation and system actions related to the employee life cycle, including opening new requisitions, terminations, and access shut off.
  • Drive forward partnership with with the Engagement Team on events and culture building activities in support of varying departments, at the direction of the People Strategy Lead(s)
  • Stay connected to the source of truth for benefits and policies, translating complex policies into actionable scenarios.
  • Proactively builds relationships with manager level employees to ensure coaching at all leader levels and thoughtful information flow.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or commensurate experience
  • 4+ years as a former HRBP or leading a team
  • 1+ year experience using Workday
  • 1+ year applying employment policies
  • Proven ability to act as a first point of contact and translate policy into practical guidance.

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
