Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Advisor, Federal Policy to join our Legal team.

About the role

The Senior Advisor, Federal Policy leads the strategy and execution of Oscar’s federal public policy advocacy. Oscar plans to define the future of the ACA marketplaces. This leader will successfully build coalitions and educate federal lawmakers to shape public policy that supports Oscar’s strategic objectives. This role will report directly into the Chief Legal Officer and will work in collaboration with the Government Affairs team.

You will report to the Chief Legal Officer.

This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The base pay for this role is: $255,200 - $334,950 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Create federal advocacy plan to meet Oscar’s strategic objectives
  • Build Oscar’s brand and relationships on the Hill and at the White House
  • Onboard and manage performance of federal lobbyists
  • Build coalition of stakeholders to drive various federal advocacy objectives
  • Partner with the government affairs team to drive public policy objectives and coordinate advocacy efforts that span federal and state jurisdictions
  • Establish timing and structure for Political Action Committee

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or commensurate experience
  • 15+ years of experience leading public affairs functions
  • 7 + years of Federal advocacy experience
  • 7+ years of deep health policy experience

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
