Our Mission

At Omnea, we’re reinventing how enterprise businesses operate, starting with the most painful parts: procurement – where a single purchase can drag on for months, trigger 50+ emails, and pull in Finance, Legal, Security, and IT just to get something approved.

We’ve raised $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel to change that. Our AI-native platform connects every person, step, and system so buying is fast, safe, and efficient – one place to request, automated approvals and renewals, real-time supplier risk, and complete spend visibility.

The opportunity is massive. Every enterprise on the planet has this problem and nobody has solved it. We’ve 10x’d ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and are trusted by global enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. We’re now the 4th fastest growing startup in Europe & the Sunday Times' #1 Best Medium Sized Tech Company To Work for.

Our team previously scaled Tessian (cybersecurity tech, backed by Sequoia, Balderton, Accel, acquired post-Series C), and our team includes ex-founders operators who’ve grown unicorns, shipped world-class products, and executed at the highest levels. You’ll work alongside leaders like Ben, Abs, Sabrina, and Rebe.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for exceptional, product-minded software engineers across all levels to join our engineering team. We're a tight-knit group of ambitious builders who hold the bar high. It took over 10,000 interviews to hire our first 50 Omneans. Over the next year, our engineering team will double in size, our enterprise customer base will grow from ~180 to 300+, and revenue will triple. In this role, you'll build high-quality product features and systems using the latest in AI, both as a developer tool and embedded directly into our product, owning meaningful problem spaces end-to-end and having a direct impact on customers as we scale.

What Can You Expect On Our Engineering Team?

  • Join a Skilled Team. Become part of one of Europe's fastest-growing software companies, working alongside experienced full-stack product engineers from top technology businesses and startups.

  • Direct Product Impact. Help shape key product decisions, including roadmap prioritisation, project scoping, technical direction, user experience, and implementation strategy.

  • Work with Modern Technology. Our stack is TypeScript across the stack (frontend and backend), React, Postgres, and AWS serverless infrastructure (Lambda, DynamoDB, and EventBridge), managed through Pulumi and deployed via GitHub Actions. We use Datadog for observability, Meticulous for automated visual regression testing, and Incident.io for incident management.

  • AI-Native Development. AI is core to how we build. Engineers use Claude Code and agentic workflows every day to write, review, and ship code faster, and our product is itself built on AI agents that automate complex procurement workflows.

  • End-to-End Ownership. Own projects from initial idea through design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration. You'll work across the stack and be trusted to make decisions that drive meaningful outcomes.

  • Continuous Delivery. We deploy small, incremental changes to production multiple times per day, enabling rapid iteration and fast customer feedback loops.

  • Tackle Scalability Challenges. As we grow, you'll help scale our systems, architecture, and engineering practices while maintaining performance, reliability, and developer velocity.

  • Collaboration and Autonomy. We operate as a high-trust team where individuals are expected to take ownership while collaborating closely to solve difficult problems.

  • Customers at the Center. We regularly engage directly with customers to understand their problems, gather feedback, and ensure we're building products that create genuine value.

About You

  • You're experienced with building web apps, having designed and implemented features from start to finish, full-stack, using TypeScript and ideally AWS serverless.

  • You're motivated by impact. You care about what your work actually achieves, not just how it's built. You want to ship things that move the needle for real customers, and you're energised by the idea that your code helps some of the world's best businesses run better. You thrive with the autonomy to make meaningful decisions and take real ownership of outcomes.

  • You know what exceptional looks like. You understand what it takes to build highly reliable, well-architected products and you've worked with best-in-class tooling across AWS, IaC, and observability to do it. You build with quality, redundancy, and long-term maintainability at the forefront.

  • You're ready to get a lot done. You enjoy all aspects of building a product and are comfortable moving across the stack. You think from first principles, pick up new skills quickly, and ship.

  • You crave ownership. You gravitate towards the meatiest engineering problems. If there's an opportunity to own something bigger, you take it.

  • You're a team builder. You're a team player, excited by maximizing team performance, whether that means learning from others or taking the time to explain, give feedback, and level up those around you.

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity. You're happy to tackle problems without a predefined solution and thrive with the autonomy to make decisions, backed by an experienced team.

Nice-to-Haves

  • You've performed exceptionally at something else, be it academics, sport, or work. You've gone above and beyond the norm.

  • You love engineering. It's more than a job. You've contributed to open source or worked on side projects just because you enjoy it. You're confident tackling ambiguous problems and shipping quality code.

Interview Process

Before applying, we strongly encourage you to spend a few minutes in our R&D Candidate Hub. It covers our engineering culture, ways of working, interview process, tech environment, and what it's like to build at Omnea.

Note: our pair programming stage is in TypeScript and you'll be assessed as if it's your primary language. This is a full-stack role, so if you're exclusively frontend, backend, or DevOps/platform-focused, it likely isn't the right fit.

The process varies slightly by level but generally includes:

  1. Initial screening call with the Talent team (30 mins - remote)

  2. Pair programming interview in TypeScript (1 hour - remote)

  3. Engineering culture interview (1 hour - remote)

  4. System design and Engineering leadership interviews (2 hours - in-person)

We'll assess level throughout and align interview stages accordingly.

We're proud to support visa sponsorship for candidates who need it.

At Omnea, we embrace diversity. To build a product that's loved by everyone, we're best served by a team with all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't quite match the full job spec! And regardless of your race, religion, colour, gender, or anything else! If you think you could be a good fit for Omnea, please reach out.

A few things to note:

  • We offer competitive geo-localised benefits, and you can check out our UK Benefits Package here and our US Benefits Package here.

  • We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time, and you can read more about why we believe this is a winning move here

  • We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise! We're actively seeking folks looking to make the most of a career-defining opportunity, with the hunger to be part of building something really impressive. You can see our values here

  • We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you'd like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application, otherwise we'll take your application as confirmation that you're happy for us to use notetakers (whether added to video calls or in the background).

We are proud to be recognised for both our culture and product, and we are just getting started. Join us as we grow!
