The Role
As the Director of Global Partner Marketing - Channel & Cloud Partners, you will be a high-impact leader responsible for driving Partner pipeline growth in the Americas and developing a global strategy for our most vital Cloud partner routes to market. Reporting to the VP of Americas Field and Global Partner Marketing, you will work closely with Field Marketing leadership in APJ and EMEA.
In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of partner marketers to orchestrate an integrated demand-generation engine. You will be responsible for the "Americas engine"—growing partner-sourced pipeline via our Channel ecosystem—while simultaneously serving as the global architect for our Cloud Service Provider (CSP) marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Financial Stewardship
- People Management: Direct, mentor, and scale a high-performing partner marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and career growth.
- Budget Management: Own and manage the global Cloud and Americas’ partner marketing budgets, ensuring precise allocation across programs.
- ROI & Analytics: Establish a rigorous framework for measuring the effectiveness of marketing spend; track and report on ROI for Market Development Funds (MDF) and joint marketing investments.
Americas Channel Marketing Strategy
- Pipeline Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to grow Partner Sourced pipeline across Americas market segments, including Strategic, Enterprise, Commercial, and Public Sector.
- Channel Ecosystem: Drive marketing motions for Solution Providers, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and Distribution partners to accelerate deal registrations and high-velocity demand.
- Field Sales Interlock: Act as the primary liaison between partner marketing and field sales leadership to ensure alignment on regional revenue targets.
- Global Support: Create scalable strategies that can be adopted, localized and executed to support the EMEA and APJ regions.
Global Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Strategy
- Better Together Storytelling: Define the global value proposition for CSP routes to market, creating scalable assets and campaigns for global execution.
- Drive Demand: Drive global demand leveraging Cloud Partner MDF and major industry events (e.g., AWS re:Invent)
- Co-Sell Program Support: Develop strategies to promote co-sell motions between Okta and Cloud Partner sales teams.
- Marketplace Acceleration: Own the global marketing vision for CSPs to increase Cloud Marketplace revenue.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Internal Alignment: Align with Global Partner Sales, Field Sales, Demand Marketing, and Product Marketing to ensure Cloud and Channel partners are deeply interwoven with GTM plans and sales plays.
- Partner Relations: Create and maintain strong relationships with marketing leaders at our most critical AMER and global CSP partners.
- Strategic Events: Collaborate with Global Field Marketing leaders and Strategic Events to deliver partner-focused summits, conferences, and advisory councils.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in partner, field, or growth marketing within the SaaS industry, including experience in a high-growth environment.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing marketing teams and managing substantial marketing budgets.
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of Channel/Distribution models and the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) ecosystem.
- Financial Acumen: Strong ability to manage budgets and translate marketing activity into financial outcomes and ROI data.
- Strategic Influence: Ability to work effectively as a peer to global leaders and influence cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Product, and Operations.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Builds Effective Teams: Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
