Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.
The Opportunity
At Auth0, our mission is to secure the world's identities so innovators can innovate. Our core commitment is to provide developers with the ultimate freedom of choice and the most streamlined path to integration.
This role is centered on the foundational building blocks of the Auth0 platform: our SDKs. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager II to own the vision, strategy, and execution for the SDKs and developer tooling that empower developers to build secure, simple, and delightful identity experiences across every platform.
This is a deep technical product management role. You are a product person at heart, but you live and breathe the developer's journey, obsessing over simple SDK interfaces, clear and consistent API contracts, and seamless installation. You will be the champion and first customer for a suite of official SDKs, ensuring they offer industry-leading security, developer ergonomics, and stability.
Your work will directly impact millions of developers by making Auth0 the most efficient, reliable, and developer-centric identity platform in the world. If you are passionate about setting an incredibly high bar for Developer Experience (DX) at the SDK level and are comfortable diving deep into technical specifications, platform standards, and code to uncover opportunities for improvement, we want to talk to you.
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Work Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days Onsite per week)
Note: "This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our Bengaluru, IN office during the first week of employment."
What you’ll be doing:
- Help define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Auth0's core SDKs across various languages and platforms (Web, Native, Backend, etc).
- Act as the first and most critical customer: actively prototype, build with our SDKs, and test early and often to provide direct, hands-on feedback to your engineering team.
- Partner deeply with engineering and architecture teams to transform complex identity concepts into simple and elegant interfaces that minimize lines of integration code.
- Act as the primary SDK liaison for internal product teams, supporting their feature releases by ensuring our SDKs are ready to support and expose new Auth0 functionalities effectively and quickly.
- Conduct deep technical research, including actively monitoring the GitHub community, developer forums, and open-source contributions to intimately understand developer pain points, reproduce issues, and collaborate on solutions and fixes.
- Pair with engineers to go deep into implementation specifics, unblocking them and discovering new ways to improve the developer workflow.
- Author clear, compelling product specifications, and work with your team to break down work into an actionable backlog.
- Champion our open-source strategy for these developer tools, fostering community engagement and ensuring we are excellent open-source citizens.
- Collaborate with other Product Teams and Developer Relations to ensure the SDKs are the canonical, up-to-date interface for all Auth0 features and successfully drive their adoption through technical content.
- Define and analyze the metrics that matter for developer adoption, engagement, and satisfaction to inform the success of your product area.
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion in a technical or developer-focused domain (e.g., APIs, SDKs, developer tools).
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Vue, Angular). You should be comfortable spinning up projects, integrating SDKs, debugging simple applications and experimenting with new ideas.
- You have a critical eye for what great developer experience looks like, and you consistently leverage that product sense to improve our SDKs and directly accelerate integration time.
- Familiarity with the unique technical constraints and best practices across different platforms: Web, Mobile, Backend and CDT/CLI tooling.
- You actively track emerging language versions, security standards, and platform trends to provide technical foresight, ensuring our SDKs remain secure, modern, and relevant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of delivering successful products from concept to market.
- (Preferred) Experience contributing to, managing, or growing open-source projects.
- (Strongly Preferred) Experience in the identity and access management (IAM) space, with an understanding of protocols like OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
