Okta is hiring a Senior Operations Manager to play a key role across Okta Research and Development (ORD; includes Engineering, Product and Design). As a cross-functional connector, you’ll partner with ORD leaders, Finance and Strategic Sourcing and other business units to investigate operational usage and forecasting trends, drive operational efficiency, and enable reporting across various organizational levels. You will support other cross-functional projects as needed and work with the business to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage R&D deliverables tied to CapEx and Tax Credit programs
  • Track Engineering Internal and Field Facing Metrics
  • Own tracking and allocation of Headcount by functional and product areas
  • Establish and Maintain Engineering on-call schedule in PagerDuty
  • Manage Field Requests that require Engineering participation
  • Special projects may include budget tracking and analysis, Capacity planning and Software/Telephony trend analysis

Qualifications

  • 4 years of relevant experience in Program/Project management, Operations and Vendor Engagement.
  • Basics of Cloud computing and Software as a Service experience
  • Strong business requirements gathering skills
  • Operates with discretion and maintains confidentiality
  • Handles interpersonal relationships judiciously and professionally
  • Operates with a high degree of independence, influence, and accountability
  • Operates with careful execution, assertiveness and creative problem-solving practices
  • Learns quickly on a fast-paced team supporting highly technical areas
  • Ability to be innovative, creative and open minded
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ease communicating with senior leadership and across functional lines
  • Expertise with collaboration tools (G-Suite, Zoom, Slack, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience in technical or engineering organizations is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$144,000$216,000 USD
