Role

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for designing innovative solutions using modern learning technologies and practices to design and deliver world-class learning experiences. You must be able to quickly assess audience demographics and identify the appropriate learning solutions to meet business needs, including instructor-led, blended, experiential, media-based, performance support, and other emerging technologies.

You will ensure design initiatives align to strategy and define, structure, and operationalize programs, align stakeholders to drive critical outcomes. Drive engagement with, awareness and usage of one stack of L&D technology solutions across Okta. Lead and oversee the analysis, design, development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of technologies, structures, and processes that support the core learning and development solutions.

Results

  • Lead a team of learning design and technology professionals.
  • Make informed plans aligned to the strategy, portfolio and practices.
  • Analyze learning experience data in partnership with the People Analytics team in service of OktaU learning strategy.
  • Lead and oversee the analysis, design, development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of technologies, structures, and processes that support the core learning and development solutions.
  • Ensure strategic plans are outcome-driven and that there are clear execution plans and team accountabilities to deliver on those plans.
  • Gather data and feedback; generating insights to improve the learner experience.
  • Be a thought leader about the application of innovative learning technologies (including AI) and practices.
  • Be a strong program manager with a focus on teamwork, execution with organizational skills.

Relationship

  • Drive engagement with, awareness and usage of one stack of L&D technology solutions across Okta.
  • Partner closely with Sr. Executives at Okta to drive advocacy for learning experiences and innovation.
  • Deploy a one-Okta vendor management approach for content developers and learning authoring tools.
  • Deploy and evolve a One-Okta L&D Community to share best practices and leverage partnerships to create learning that is consistent across all of L&D at Okta.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 10+ years of learning and development experience, including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead a matrixed team and influence across the organization.
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to thrive in an ambiguous, constantly changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of innovative learning & development tools and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and develop relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills to collaborate with internal team members & executives.
