Okta is seeking a billing analyst to assist in the daily billing operations. This candidate will be able to address and perform all customer inquiries within a timely manner with excellent customer service. With both our customers and internal teams.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage close processes related to billing activities
  • Manage and resolve customer/internal teams and provide a resolution. Escalate if needed.
  • Reconciliations of month end reports
  • Generate daily bill runs
  • Identify if there is an billing issues with invoicing
  • Update purchase order on invoices when needed
  • Update email, phone numbers, billing addresses when needed
  • Generate credit memos related to write offs, tax exemption, bad debts & AWS fees
  • Resolve any billing cases in the queue within 24 hours
  • Resolve any PS disputes and discrepancies
  • Review and pull necessary documents for SOX audit purposes
  • Provide support during UAT testing
  • Review and application of open cancelation & Restructure credits against invoices per order form
  • Manual PS creation when needed
  • Submit jira tickets with invoice errors for BT
  • SMS billing process at the end of each month
  • Assist billing team as needed on any special projects

Qualifications and skills:

  • Candidate must have a degree in accounting, finance background or equivalent experience
  • Strong Financial systems background. Netsuite and Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Experience with large volume and fast paced environment
  • Experience with great customer service
  • Proficient skills in MS Excel
  • Ability to multitask and analyze large quantities of data information
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and help when needed with other team members
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Must achieve satis
