Get to know Okta

Okta is The World’s Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology—anywhere, on any device or app. Our Workforce and Customer Identity Clouds enable secure yet flexible access, authentication, and automation that transforms how people move through the digital world, putting Identity at the heart of business security and growth.

At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we’re looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.

Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.

About the team

As part of our vision to Free Everyone to Safely Connect to Technology, Okta is investing in a new team to articulate, drive and deliver the next generation API graph for Identity. This new team will think about structuring the API Graph with an eye towards SaaS Partner developers, however, it should not alienate customer developers building in-house automation. This team will think holistically about the nouns and verbs that should be exposed via Okta’s API along with canonical request/response shapes of each resource across all WIC products. Exposing the integrations graph will also be of importance. SaaS products (both internal and external) will want to take advantage of Okta’s connections to downstream integrations.

About the Role

Do you eat and breathe API's? Do you dream in JSON? Does the idea of revolutionizing the Okta API to ease the way developers integrate with Okta? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then join a team that is rewriting the rules of identity management! This is your chance to build a product that will empower developers to build incredible integrations, streamline automation, and unleash the full potential of the Okta Platform. As a Staff Engineer on the Graph API team, you'll collaborate with a diverse group of brilliant minds, each bringing their unique expertise to the table.

We're looking for someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who takes pride in delivering software that exceeds expectations.
