We are seeking a highly motivated Identity Security Intelligence Researcher to join our team. You will identify, analyze and track emerging identity-related cyber threats and develop strategies to mitigate those threats. Successful candidates will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on various identity-related cyber threats, assessing their potential impact, and providing actionable intelligence to help protect against those threats. You will collaborate with members from our Identity Security teams to develop and implement threat detection, replication and prevention strategies.
Conduct research on identity-related attacks, like credential stuffing, MFA bypass and fraudulent account sign up.
Study emerging attacks against passwordless authentication technologies.
Analyze and evaluate identity-related cyber threats to determine potential impact and develop strategies to replicate, simulate and mitigate those threats.
Collaborate with other members of our cybersecurity team to develop and implement threat detection and prevention strategies, including threat hunting and incident response.
Write SQL queries to collect and analyze data from various sources.
Write scripts and tests to make your research reproducible.
Develop programs to automate data collection, extraction and analysis.
Examine log traffic and find malicious activity.
Present your work in the form of internal and external presentations, white papers and blog posts.
Stay up-to-date with the latest identity security research literature and technologies and proactively identify new threats and vulnerabilities.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or relevant experience.
At least 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, preferably in the identity security domain.
Proficient understanding of identity security principles, threat intelligence and threat hunting.
Ability to write database queries and develop programs to automate data collection and analysis.
Competency in shell scripting, containers and Linux internals. Ability to program in Python is a big plus.
Familiarity with version control and related tooling like git and GitHub Actions.
