The Opportunity

Join our team at Nutanix as a Member of Technical Staff - 4 where you will play a crucial role in developing a Data Management, Security, and compliance platform to support Nutanix Unified Storage (NUS) and other Industry Storage products. Your mission will be to help build reliable, efficient, and high-performance software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid clouds. Your work will involve understanding complex distributed systems and solving customer requirements. About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be joining the Data Lens team, an innovative group dedicated to harnessing the power of data analytics and machine learning. With team members based in both the US and India, our diverse and collaborative environment encourages creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, allowing us to tackle complex challenges and drive groundbreaking solutions in the data landscape. You will report to the Director of Engineering, who is committed to empowering the team through mentorship and support.


Your Role

  • Build scalable, enterprise-grade software for data engineering and security solutions.
  • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions for a data platform.
  • Collaborate with a global development team.
  • Work in an Agile environment with local and remote teams, including daily scrums and pair programming when required.
  • Perform complex analysis for the design and implementation of software tasks.
  • Conduct unit testing for developed components.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions within timelines in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Provide timely updates on tasks and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and define technical specifications.
  • Assist in assembling and packaging software releases for deployment.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in software product development as a systems engineer.
  • Strong programming skills in Golang and C#, with solid SQL design experience.
  • Experience writing APIs in Golang and understanding of Golang-based server architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows OS (including profiles and session management).
  • Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure Arc.
  • Experience with virtualization and storage technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Understanding of Active Directory / Intra ID, DNS, and domain join processes.
  • Scripting skills using PowerShell or Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or Snowflake is a plus.
  • Exposure to storage systems or the security domain is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with designers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in UI development or FSLogix is an added advantage.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
