About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be a part of the Prism UI team, a dynamic group spread out geographically. Despite the physical distance, the team is highly collaborative and supportive, fostering a great culture where employees can grow both professionally and personally.

You will report to the Senior Manager of the Prism UI team and will work closely with the Platforms team which is responsible for the "Day 0" experience of the Nutanix platform.



Your Role

Our front-end engineering work is done chiefly in React, developing enterprise-quality, modular, accessible and scalable customer-facing products.

Deliver the best-of-the-class user experience to customers with a keen eye for esthetics

Develop a deep and wholesome understanding of customer use cases and design innovative solutions for customer requirements.

Define functionality that is simple and intuitive for customers

Collaborate closely with globally located UX design engineers, front-end architects, product management and backend development teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Contribute to the complete product development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, detailed, and launch.

Be a team player by reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks, and documentation.

Participate in an ongoing process definition and technology selection to ensure our technology stack is current with relevant trends.

Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities.


What You Will Bring

6–10 years of experience developing maintainable, modular, resilient, fail-safe, and long-lasting code from a Product Development company.

Have strong programming fundamentals.

In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and its ecosystem

Experience building applications with React.js, Redux, Typescript, CSS, i18n, l10n and a11y libraries

Hands-on understanding of browser storage and databases, and performance optimization techniques.

Experience of translating Figma designs to functional front-end

Building applications that adhere to best security practices and

Experience with REST API semantics and design.

Experience with browser debugging and profiling tools.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, design, and user experience.

Inquisitive and highly-motivated self-starter and problem solver with a drive to integrate, communicate, and work well with large projects and teams.

A track record of being reliable, responsible, and thorough.

Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent work experience


Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
