About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be part of the core infra team based in Bangalore. The team culture emphasizes unity and a shared focus on achieving goals, fostering collaboration and innovation. You will report to the Engineering leader at Nutanix. The work setup is hybrid, allowing for flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. As a new hire, you will be expected to work from the office 3 days a week, ensuring face-to-face interactions with your team members and promoting a sense of camaraderie and community within the Core Infra team. At Nutanix, we understand the importance of work-life balance and prioritize the well-being of our employees. Therefore, there are no travel requirements for this position, allowing you to focus on your work and professional development without the added stress of frequent travel.

Your Role

Be a self-starter who can appreciate & strive in a fast-paced technology company. Design and develop solutions and alternatives. Inculcate best practices with regard to design, coding standards, testing and automation to constantly improve on developer productivity. Ensure quality standards of the deliverables in regard to user experience, scale, resiliency, and reliability.

What You Will Bring

5–8 years of hands-on software development experience in Python and Golang on Linux platforms. Strong understanding of at least one or more Linux internal subsystems(IO, NW, Storage, boot up). Strong understanding of distributed systems. Ability to debug complex network and systems issues. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communications, or a related field.

Nice to Have

Experience with virtualisation technologies (KVM, QEMU, Docker, containers, or hypervisors). Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud). Familiarity with security frameworks and hardening practices.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
