Are you an experienced manager with a strong technical background in building & scaling distributed systems, eager to take on a significant technical leadership role? In this role, you’ll refine engineering processes, lead architecture design efforts, and ensure timely, high-quality releases while providing hands-on technical leadership to a small group of engineers.
About the Team

You will report to the Engineering Leader, who values strategic thinking, collaboration, and technical leadership. As part of our hybrid work setup, you will be required to work in the office three days a week, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility to cater to individual preferences and needs.
Your Role
Oversee and manage a medium-sized team of engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity across multiple geographical locations. Lead technical direction for major product areas of infra. Contribute to all phases of product development through conception, design, implementation, and deployment, along with performance engineering. Conduct regular code reviews to uphold quality standards and promote best practices within the engineering team. Be a self-starter who can appreciate & strive in a fast-paced technology company. Inculcate best practices within the team with regards to design, coding standards, testing and automation to constantly improve on developer productivity. Ensure quality standards of the deliverables with regards to user experience, scale, resiliency, and reliability Participate in project planning with engineering and program managers to set aggressive but achievable milestones and goals. Discuss requirements with Product team and elicit responses for non-functional requirements. Participate in product roadmap discussions and customer interaction.
What You Will Bring
Lead an engineering team on product development and maintain the team's productivity. Lead complex technical design/architecture discussions. Understand the product priority and maximize the team's impact. Proven experience in managing engineering teams, preferably in larger organizations. Ability to foster collaboration within a geographically diverse team. Strong managerial skills with a focus on effective leadership and feedback. Prior working experience in the area of distributed systems, virtualisation concepts, platform & infrastructure products, and OS internals – compute/storage/network virtualisation. Hands-on experience and ability to jump on to help team to solve problem technically when required. Total industrial experience of 12–15 years and 2+ years of experience managing teams of 5 people or more.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
