About the Team
The Manager, Technical Account Manager will be part of the Professional Services team located in Pune. This team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experience and satisfaction by providing tailored solutions that leverage Nutanix technology. The culture within the team emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and excellence, as members work closely to ensure clients successfully adopt and maximize the value of Nutanix platforms. The team's mission is to enhance customer outcomes through proactive engagement and support, fostering long-term partnerships that drive business success.
You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who is known for a supportive and empowering leadership style that encourages team members to take ownership of their roles while providing guidance and mentorship. This position operates in a hybrid work setup, requiring the hire to be in the office a few days a week to facilitate collaboration and team engagement.
There are no travel requirements associated with this role; however, you will be expected to maintain a strong presence and response capability to support enterprise customers effectively from the designated location.
Your Role
- Lead and mentor a team of 6–8 Technical Account Managers and oversee Resident Engineers supporting enterprise customers.
- Provide technical oversight and act as an escalation point for complex production issues within Nutanix environments.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by driving the adoption of Nutanix best practices and demonstrating platform value.
- Own portfolio health metrics including renewal readiness, escalation trends, adoption metrics, and platform stability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning for team members to support skill growth and alignment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Support, Engineering) to align on account strategies and customer technical priorities.
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize coverage based on account complexity and workload balance.
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans to ensure consistent execution of Customer Success Plans.
What You Will Bring
- 10–15 years of experience in Enterprise Infrastructure, Virtualization, or Hybrid Cloud.
- 3–5 years of people management experience overseeing a technical team.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Nutanix AHV, AOS, Prism, and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Proven ability to manage enterprise production environments and handle escalations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-facing presence.
- Technical leadership in providing oversight and solutions for complex production issues.
- Experience in resource allocation, capacity planning, and portfolio health management.
- Ability to mentor, develop, and drive a team in alignment with customer success strategies.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
