About the Team
The Manager, Resident Consultant role is part of the Professional Services team based in Pune, India. This dynamic team is dedicated to delivering exceptional technical account management support to enterprise customers leveraging Nutanix solutions. You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who is known for a supportive and empowering leadership style that encourages team members to take initiative and develop their skills. The role offers a hybrid work setup, where the hire will be expected to come into the office a few days each week while also having the flexibility to work remotely.
This position requires travel as part of the job role, with occasional visits to client sites to ensure effective customer engagement and support. Frequent interaction with clients will help strengthen relationships and facilitate a deeper understanding of their needs.
Your Role
  • Lead and mentor a team of 6–8 Technical Account Managers and oversee Resident Engineers supporting enterprise customers.
  • Provide technical oversight and act as the escalation point for complex production issues in Nutanix environments.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by promoting best practices and maximizing the value of Nutanix solutions.
  • Own portfolio health metrics, including renewal readiness and adoption metrics, to drive customer success.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Support, Engineering) to align account strategies and address technical risks.
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize team coverage based on account needs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning for team members to foster growth and skill enhancement.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early, ensuring consistent execution of customer success plans and delivery quality.
What You Will Bring
  • 10–15 years of experience in Enterprise Infrastructure, Virtualization, or Hybrid Cloud.
  • 3–5 years of demonstrated people management experience.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Nutanix AHV, AOS, and Prism.
  • Expertise in cluster operations and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments (NC2).
  • Proven ability to manage enterprise production environments and escalations.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead technical oversight and ensure adherence to best practices.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
