About the Team
The Sr. Manager IT Operations APAC/INDIA will join the Global IT Operations team at Nutanix, which is dedicated to providing world-class technology services across the APAC and India regions. Located primarily in Bangalore, this team embodies a collaborative culture that emphasizes customer-first strategies and technological innovation. The mission of the team is to maximize technology efficiencies while minimizing manual interventions, ensuring that the IT services provided align with the operational needs of employees and contractors in the region.
You will report to the Sr. Manager of Global IT Operations, who emphasizes a supportive and empowering leadership style, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. The work setup for this role is hybrid, requiring the hire to be in the office a few days a week while also allowing for flexible remote work.
This position entails a travel requirement of approximately 20% to 30%, which will involve visiting various Nutanix offices across the region to ensure operational excellence and to support local teams effectively.
Your Role
  • Oversee IT operations for the APAC/INDIA region, ensuring services meet local operational needs.
  • Lead a distributed IT Operations team, focusing on hiring, performance management, and team cohesion.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and internal departments to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Define and execute APAC IT strategy to enhance operational support efficiency and customer success metrics.
  • Manage regional vendors and oversee procurement and asset management processes.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of supported technologies and systems to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Own communication with IT customers in the APAC region regarding announcements and updates.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and objectives for the first year to track improvements in IT service delivery.
What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of technical management experience in a modern IT environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team building and performance management.
  • Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders across various levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT operations, architectures, and incident/change management.
  • Experience with vendor and asset management, including procurement and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with IT systems enhancing employee experience (e.g., ServiceNow, O365, Zoom).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Understanding of modern conference room technologies and networking solutions.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
