The Opportunity

The Sales Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in evaluating and optimizing sales compensation programs. This role provides strategic insights into the effectiveness and utilization of incentive structures, diagnoses spending patterns, and ensures alignment between compensation plans and desired performance outcomes. The analyst partners cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Sales Operations to drive data-informed decisions that enhance motivation, fairness, and business impact.

You will report to the Director of Sales Compensation, who is committed to cultivating a supportive and dynamic work environment that empowers team members to excel. Travel requirements for this role are minimal, ensuring that you can focus on your responsibilities without the disruption of extensive travel commitments.


Your Role

  • Analyze compensation spend across teams to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement to support strategic goals
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current compensation programs in driving desired sales behaviors and outcomes.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into compensation metrics.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions with compensation insights.
  • Recommend changes to compensation structures based on data analysis, market benchmarks, and internal feedback.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate what performance is being incentivized and whether that aligns with business priorities.
  • Evaluate current communication and cascade mechanisms, plan understanding in the field, and propose improvements.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, or analytics roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and compensation platforms (e.g., Xactly, Pigment).
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of sales operations, incentive design, and/or performance management.
  • Experience with global compensation structures and regional nuances.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, quota planning, and commission forecasting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to executive audiences.


Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
