The Opportunity
The Opportunity Nutanix is a global leader in cloud software and a pioneer in hyperconverged infrastructure solutions, making computing invisible anywhere. Our MicroServices Platform Functional Test team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, test case development and test automation suite development, to assess and improve the overall quality of our products. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the wide knowledge of the product portfolio, continuous improvement using keen eye for system performance, scalability aspects and ensuring that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also, automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to ensure performance and scalability baselines.
About the Team
You'll be joining MicroServices Platform (MSP) QA team, A group of talented, highly motivated engineering professionals who strive to uphold Nutanix's core principles of Hungry, Humble, Honest & Customer obsession. The team is spread across India & USA and known for innovative, collaborative & customer first approach to solve complex problems. Your Role
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionalities of Microservices Platform (MSP) services in Prism Central.
• Develop test automation framework(s) using Python.
• Implement required API and UI Tests services using Python and simulate end to end workflow test cases according to defined requirements
• Execute both manual and automated tests to ensure the precision and dependability of infrastructure services.
• Engage in effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers and QAs of service teams, to grasp requirements and gather scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects until resolution, upholding software quality and integrity.
What You Will Bring
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related stream is required.
• Must have 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in distributed systems / HCI / Kubernetes / microservices.
• Understanding of Server/Network/Storage Virtualization, Cloud Infrastructures services like AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting System related issues like CPU, Memory, Network and Storage.
• Experience in bringing up test environment.
• Ability to debug linux environments and distributed systems.
• Strong programming experience for Test Automation with Python, Java or equivalent language.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools like Postman or equivalent API testing tools.
• Experience in test case automation, regression execution & integration testing.
• Experience in developing clean, maintainable automated tests for REST API and server components.
• Experience in writing and debugging automation tests for complex enterprise software.
• Experience of testing any cloud-based applications.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
