The Opportunity
Nutanix is disrupting the multi-billion dollar cloud infrastructure market by pioneering the first hybrid cloud platform that can incrementally scale out to manage petabytes of data while running tens of thousands of virtual machines. This brings about exciting new challenges in building a cloud-scale distributed control plane that can serve a multitude of applications.
You will work on the new licensing and features consumption service that will determine when and how Nutanix users will use our software and services. This core feature will be a core service to be consumed by other Nutanix features as well as consumer
About the Team
At Nutanix, you would be joining the Licensing team, consisting of 15 individuals distributed across the United States and India. You will report to the Senior Director, Saas Engineering, who leads with expertise, guidance, and a strong focus on professional development. As part of our hybrid work setup, you will be required to work in the office 2-3 days per week, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. While office attendance is encouraged for team synergy and project alignment, we understand the importance of a flexible work environment.

Your Role
- Design and develop reliable, scalable, efficient, high-performance control plane software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid cloud.
- Design and develop features for the Nutanix Licensing platform that interacts with Nutanix Core Services.
- Build RESTful web services that follow industry best practices and integrate with other enterprise and SaaS applications.
- Contribute to the design and development of licensing web applications.
- Ability to write scripts and tools for development and debugging.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Engage with customers and support when needed to solve issues.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Passionate about programming and problem-solving, with a strong focus on writing clean and efficient code.
- Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Solid understanding of core Front-end and Back-end concepts.
- Good understanding of Open-source Frameworks and Libraries.
- Experience in developing web-based user interfaces using Javascript and ReactJS.
- Experience with server-side programming using NodeJS/ExpressJS, along with database integration.
- Experience in Python or Go is an added advantage.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
