The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional with exceptional analytical skills to join us as a Senior Commissions Analyst. In this role, you will play a critical part in validating, analyzing, and optimizing commission processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency. You will leverage advanced Excel and analytical skills to identify discrepancies, propose improvements, and provide actionable insights that enhance sales performance and business decision-making. Prior experience in core corporate finance areas such as budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis will be highly valuable.

About the Team

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within Nutanix is a small high energy team providing finance partnership to business leaders across all functions. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a high impact team in a fast-growing organization. We provide analysis to support strategic decisions, conduct financial reviews of a wide range of business issues and manage financial processes such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and tracking performance.

Your Role

  • Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, errors, and trends in commission reporting; propose corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Accounting teams to align on commission policies, resolve issues, and ensure timely payments.
  • Conduct periodic audits of commission processes to ensure compliance with company policies and controls.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of commission models, incentive structures, and system enhancements.
  • Contribute to financial planning and forecasting by providing accurate commission expense estimates.
  • Create dashboards and reports (Excel, Tableau, or other BI tools) to improve visibility into sales performance and commission metrics.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple close deadlines and manage time effectively by finding efficiencies in processes.

What You Will Bring

  • Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with 7-9 years in Commissions, FP&A related experience.
  • Strong business and analytical skills; ability to multi-task, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a continually evolving environment.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and information.
  • Willing to adjust to work with other time zones as we have a world-wide FP&A org.
  • Advanced Microsoft excel and PowerPoint, G-suite skills.
  • Knowledge of Xactly, Tableau/Power BI, Adaptive is preferred.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 116,800 and USD $ 234,000 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
