Introduction
The goal of our product designers is to deeply understand our customers’ problems and design solutions to those problems. They are part of the entire product development process, from concept to launch. They work closely with product managers, UX researchers, and engineers to understand the customer problem, iterate on solutions, and ship finished designs to customers.
Job Responsibilities
Work is assigned by manager and is often routine, instructions are usually detailed and may be scripted
Design single screens; solve specific function-level problems (e.g. color picker), typically under the direction of a more senior designer or manager.
Build single screens and features using existing tools and libraries.
Professionalism, i.e. showing up to meetings on time; working well with others; respectful of peers; listening.
Able to successfully deliver work within the process set by the team lead, manager, or PM.
Can successfully work with their peers as part of a team that they've been assigned to. Primarily rely on their team lead/manager for direction on what to work on and how.
Attend project meetings and contribute when asked about their particular work or area.
Knowledge and Experience
Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization, with support from manager.
Quality portfolio (from school, or personal projects)
