Introduction

We are seeking someone who is humble, collaborative, and highly team-oriented. This role will be a player-coach responsible for driving strategy/execution and directly managing 3+ product managers in our Commerce org. This org includes our Configured Commerce Platform and Commerce Connect offerings which, together, enable B2B Manufacturers and Distributors as well as B2C brands to manage and customize their e-commerce experiences. You will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture, integrating AI-first solutioning, and bridging the gap between high-level vision and tactical execution.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Team Development: Directly manage, mentor, and coach PMs of all levels, implementing development plans and clear OKRs while fostering a culture of inclusion, empathy, and candid feedback.
  • Operational Excellence: Set the bar for product quality and process including AI-first mentality for PM efficiencies, lead the team through change, manage budgets/resources, and navigate difficult trade-offs or conflict with professionalism.
  • Strategy Translation: Convert broad company goals into actionable priorities and quantifiable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the product organization.

Product Strategy & AI Innovation

  • AI-First Mentality: Identify and execute opportunities for AI to solve customer pain points and improve internal PM efficiencies.
  • Commerce Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape and marketer challenges to establish industry partnerships and stay ahead of trends.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Distill complex data into actionable insights; implement and monitor dashboards to ensure the team pivots based on user feedback and metrics.
  • Vision & Evangelism: Act as a visible spokesperson for the product, articulating strategy to executive leadership and external stakeholders through demos and speaking engagements with emphasis on how it drives customer value.

Execution & Cross-Functional Impact

  • Collaborative Partnership: Work seamlessly across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Pricing, GTM Operations, Support, Engineering, Design, Legal, and Finance to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Tackle strategic and operational challenges with a nimble, "scrappy" approach, maintaining high attention to detail while juggling a multi-product suite with fixed resources.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience: 5–8 years in SaaS Product Management/Strategy, with 3+ years of experience managing PM teams.

  • Track Record: Proven leadership in a high-growth SaaS environment, ideally within the Commerce or MarTech industry.

  • Skills: Exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for using data and AI to drive customer value.

  • Industry: Has had exposure to the Commerce industry with an understanding of the challenges faced by a marketer in e-commerce.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
