Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic, adept learner and dedicated Accounting Intern to join our finance team for Bangladesh & UAE regions. The Accounting Intern will work along with the Regional Finance Controller and implement regional controls and reporting and ensure that the region operates efficiently, while maintaining utmost accuracy. This is an excellent learning opportunity to build a strong foundation in accounting while learning directly from experienced finance professionals in a multinational, fast-paced environment.
An ideal candidate should be inquisitive, detail-oriented, organized and have a reasonable understanding of accounting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong thirst for knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in learning how finance functions within a global organization.
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday (11 AM to 7 PM)
Internship Duration: 6 months
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing month end journal entries and reconciling the regional ledgers while maintaining proper reconciliation files.
- Assist the regional controller in preparation of VAT & TDS filling and its submission.
- Make cash entries and postings for the region.
- Help arranging audit data for regional audits.
- Work alongside the office manager to enter data in the petty cash file and maintain proper filling of the receipts.
- Ensure regional reporting, tax fillings are up to date and follow up with regional controller to maintain completion of the tasks.
- Assist the regional controller with month-end deadlines and year end close processes.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
- Well versed in Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint and prepared to quickly adapt to our internal accounting platforms.
- Structured and disciplined individual with a positive outlook towards learning and growing.
